Art and Social Ethics

Senior Member Lambert Zuidervaart has published an article titled “Creating a Disturbance: Art, Social Ethics, and Relational Autonomy” in The Germanic Review 90.4 (2015): 235-46. The article argues that good art is intrinsically ethical, and, precisely because of this intrinsic ethicality, the arts can contribute to other modes of ethical conduct, including politics.
